千佛山是一座城中之山。海拔285米，占地面积约166公顷，它与趵突泉、大明湖并称为济南市的三大名胜。千佛山历史悠久，铺翠描金，风景秀丽。主体建筑的兴国禅寺居千佛山山腰，内有大雄宝殿、观音堂、弥勒殿、对华亭。南侧千佛崖，存隋开皇年间的佛像130余尊。此外山上还散落着唐槐亭、齐烟九点坊、乾隆御碑、历山铭刻、第一弥化石以及多处领袖学者诗文石刻，供游人观赏。自元代起，每年“九九重阳”均举办庙会，民间艺术团的精彩表演吸引了大量游客。

Qianfo Mountain is in the city proper with an altitude of 285 meters and covers an area of about 166 hectares. It is one of the three most famous tourist resorts in Jinan City. (The other two are Baotu spring and Daming Lake) It has a long history with beautiful sceneries. The main architecture Xingguo temple is on its mountainside. There are Daxiong palace, Guanyin palace, Mile palace and Duihua pavilion. Qianfo cliff is on its south and there are over 130 Buddha sculptures. Besides, you can also enjoy Tanghuai Pavilion, Qiyan Temple, stele written by Qianlong (an emperor in Qing dynasty), Lishan Engravings, the first Mi fossil and many poems and engravings by famous leaders and scholars. From Yuan dynasty, on September 9th every year (according to Chinese lunar calendar), Temple Fair will be held here. The brilliant show by folk artists attracts a large amount of tourists.
