珍珠泉泉水自泉底细沙中袅袅上浮，串串簇簇，犹如万斛珍珠，故名“珍珠泉”。珍珠泉泉池周围砌以雪花石栏，岸边杨柳轻垂，泉水清澈如碧，迷离动人；泉的西北角有濯缨池，由泉水汇聚而成，泉水向北流经百花洲，进入大明湖。
The water of the Pearl Spring curls upwards from the sand at bottom of the spring, looking like a string of pearls. Therefore, it is named “Pearl Spring”. The spring is surrounded with snow-white rocks. Willows are dangling at the bank, and the spring water is as clear as jade. At the North west corner of the spring, there is a Zhuoying pond, formed by the gathering spring waters which flow into Daming Lake through Baihuazhou.
明代成化二年（1466），德王朱见潾建德王府，将珍珠泉圈入王府中。清代康熙年间又改成巡府署院。
In the year 1466, Prince Zhu Jianlin built a residence, which circled the Pearl Spring into his residence. Later in the Kangxi reign of Qing Dynasty, it was changed into provincial government. |
